One of the best gifts I could ever recieve.

Okay guys, this might end up being a bit of a rambling post, but right now I am on cloud nine. I received so many amazing and thoughtful gifts for Christmas, and I am grateful for every single one, but yesterday I received one of the most amazing gifts in the universe.

A little back story, I met Poppy when I was 14 and she was 13, she was an upbeat and happy teenager, and I found myself really connecting to her. She became one of my best friends very quickly and she really held a massive place in my heart from day one. There is so many things that she has done that truly shows that she is one of the best people in my life. One that means so much to me is when I was in hospital in June 2014, she would come every day, even if she had to get a bus (and my mum would bring her in) and she would just sit by my bedside and talk to me about her day, just to make me smile. One thing I remember is I was so high on Morphine, that I couldn't talk. But she just sat by my bed and held my hand and played with my hair (which is one of the most relaxing things to me) and just talked to me.
She is one of the most amazing people in my life, she is so beautiful inside and out, there is not a bad bone in her body, and I would do anything for her and I know she would do the same for me. When I first met Laura (Poppy's Fiancee) I knew instantly that Poppy had found her soul mate. They are perfect for each other, I could just see the love they had for each other. It makes me so happy to see her so perfectly happy. I am so proud of her, and everything she has been through. She is defiantly one of my best friends, and I am pretty sure that we will be friends until the end of time.

So yesterday my husband and I went over to Poppy and Laura's house for dinner, we hadn't seen them since before Christmas, so we had gifts to exchange. After a lovely meal (well done Pops) we sat down and I gave her her gifts, then she gave me three gifts and told me to open them in a specific order. The first one was an amazing Lush gift box, which had a bath bomb and a bubble bar, and the both smell fantastic! then I opened the second gift which was a diary i had asked for, it's beautiful with purple flowers all over it. Then she told me to open the last gift. I knew it was a photo frame, so I thought it would be a picture of us, but I was wrong. in the frame was confetti, and her beautiful handwriting saying "Will you Be my bridesmaid?" As soon as i saw it I burst into tears. I ran to her and hugged her and said "Of course I will be your bridesmaid!"

I have only been a bridesmaid once, and that was for my mothers wedding. I am looking forward to helping Poppy with the wedding, and I am so honoured to be part of her and Laura's perfect day! I just want to say thank-you so much for my presents, but this one will hold a massive place in my heart. I love you so much Poppy Johnson. Forever and Always!
