Face Products
Starting with primers, I have heard a lot of good things about the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. This product is great for smoothing out the skin and making a flawless and perfect canvas for makeup. I have watched other YouTubers who have oily skin and some enlarged pores, and they say it works perfectly. So I would love to give this a try. This product retails for £28, which is a bit steep, but with this product, a little goes a long way so it will last a while.
There are 2 foundations that I would love to give a try, first is the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation. This is a heavy duty, full coverage foundation which creates that 'porcalin doll' look. I would use this foundation on nights out, or when I want to look perfect and flawless. This retails for £24.50, which I think is an alright price for the size of the bottle, especially with how little you need to cover your face.
The next foundation is more medium coverage, and it has a subtle dewy finish, which makes the product look more like skin. This is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation. This would be a great every day foundation. I think my freckles would show through a little, which I am starting to enjoy. I have heard some amazing things about this product. This retails for £27.50, and again I think this a quite a good price for the size of the bottle.
Next on to concealers. This is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. This is another product that I have heard so many people rave about. It's full coverage, but it doesn't feel cakey on the skin, and it looks pretty natural too. It's awesome at covering up dark circles and subtly highlighting the face. This retails for £19.30. Which I think can be a little steep if you use a lot concealer every day.
The next concealer is the Nars Raident Creamy Concealer. This product is again a full coverage concealer which if you don't set it, it will become a little creasy. This product is good for highlighting the skin, and it doesn't have a super matte finish either, which would look great for every day makeup. This retails for £20, which again I think is a little expensive for how little product you get. But I would love to give it a go.
Next on to setting powders and contour. I have been wanting the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette for ages, and I think it has perfect shades for contouring for fair skin, which is one product I think is really hard to find when you are pale like me. I have seen so many people rave about this product, and I am a massive fan on Kat Von D so I would love to try his products. This products retails for £31.75 which i think is an alright price considering you get 6 pretty big pans of product.
Next onto highlighter. I had heard so many amazing things and seen so many gorgeous swatches of this product. This is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. It's a great light colour, with gold undertones, which would look good on light skin tones like me. There are some other amazing colours, but if I had to pick one, this is the one. This retails for £26, which is steep, but it's highly pigmented and a pretty large pan.
Eye Products
First onto eye primer, I have heard some awesome things about this product, and I know that it stops eye shadows from creasing, and makes the colours really pop. The Too Faced Shadow Insurance looks like such an amazing product. A little goes a long way, so it will last you a while. This retails for £13 which isn't bad at all. So I would love to give it a try.
Next onto eyebrows. I have pretty thick eyebrows, but I still have some sparse gaps. I have struggled to find an eyebrow pencil which 1. Matches my hair colour and 2. Is pigmented and works well enough. The Anasasia Brow Wiz in Auburn is an amazing product from what I have seen in videos and swatches. It retails for £14.50 which isn't bad for this product, as a little goes a long way.
There are a few eyeshadow pallets I have been lusting after, so I thought I would show you them all, and explain why I want them so much. Here we go!
First is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I am a sucker for neutral colours, but I like the fact that this has a couple of bright colours too. I like that its got a mix of shimmer and matte shades, and I have seen some amazing swatches and makeup tutorials using this palette, also the shadows smell like cocoa powder too. This product retails for £33 which isn't bad considering you get 16 different shades, and they are pretty pigmented too.
Next is the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette. This has everything I love. Neutral shades, mostly matte products and of course its created by Kat Von D. I like the fact that it has some red tones in it also, which I find looks good on my skin tone. I have seen some amazing looks created with this palette and I can't wait to give it a go! This retails for £31 which is good, and you get 12 awesome and different shades.
And finally, the Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Pallette. I love the Rosy and warm tones in this palette, I think these colours would look great with my skin tone. I love matte shades. I think they look better on me. I think you could create loads of different looks with this palette. This retails for £31. which isn't bad. You get 12 shades, and they are quite big pans for eye shadows.
I'm not an eyeliner person, but I would love to practise, so I thought I would show a pencil and a liquid liner.
First is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in the shade Demolition. Its a dark matte brown, which I think won't look as harsh as black, and also would go better with the looks I usually do. This is a very pigmented pencil eyeliner and it retails for £13, which is okay as it should last a pretty long time!
And next is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in the shade Trooper. I have heard so many good things about this product. You can create really sharp lines, including wings, which I really want to get good at doing. It's a very dark and matte black. which is awesome. This retails for £13, which is good, but I have heard that this dries out pretty quickly, which is a bad thing, but I'd love to try it anyway.
And the mascara I would really want to own is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I have seen how amazing this makes your lashes look. It thickens and lengthens your lashes, and its also very dark and it lasts a long time! This retails for £15. which I don't think is that bad, considering how great this product is.
Lip Products
I really want to jump on the liquid lipstick train, and obviously I had to pick Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. There are so many amazing shades, and I have seen so many amazing swatches and looks with these products. But I think my favourite colours would be Requiem, Noble and Vampira. These retail for £13 which I don't think is bad at all. These products last all day, and dry to a matte finish.
Next is the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick. I love Too Faced products, and I have seen some awesome swatches of these products. The colours I would want to try are Nude, Fig, Melon, Ruby and Violet. These retail for £14.50 which again I don't think isn't that bad. I like that these have a glossy finish to them, which i don't think will look as drying on me.
And last are the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick. I love Urban Decay products, so I thought I would love to give these a try. I haven't heard much about these, so I would love to give these a go. The shades I would like are Liar, Turn On, Rush, Bomb and Manic. They have shimmer and matte shades, which is great. These retail for £15 which I don't think is that bad, considering lipsticks usually last a while with me.
So that's everything. I am a massive makeup addict. I just don't have the money to satisfy my cravings. I hope you enjoyed and I will talk to you guys soon!
