First Day Of My Nail Course

I had such an amazing day yesterday, as I mentioned in one of my last posts, I had enroled in a course to become a nail technician. Yesterday was my first day of three and I was going to be learning how to do manicures and pedicures. I got up at 6am, which is a very rare occourance for me. I can't just get up and go out the door like some people. I have to wake up, have a coffee and chill out before I leave. I dropped my dog off at my grandparent's house before I made my way to the course venue. I made it with 10 minutes to spare, which was one thing I was nervous about, the other was that I wouldn't make any friends (or at least aquatiences) but again I shouldn't have worried, before I even got into the room I had made a friend which is great!
So there was 7 of us, which made things a little awkward because we couldn't all pair up, so two pairs and one group of three. I paired with my friend Vickie which was lovely as I didn't feel so awkward doing the procedures. First we talked about the things you should do before you start your manicures or pedicures, for example looking for any problems with the hands/feet/nails which may mean you have to send your client away, or change the procedure in some way. And then we moved in to the practice rooms and be can step by step work on a pedicure. I learnt loads! It was awesome! Then after lunch we practice manicures my tutor kept telling me I looked so professional already and that I was doing such an awesome job! It's such a compliment when someone higher up says something like rant to you!
On the 17th I'm doing my UV Gel nails course which now I can't wait for! I just love to learn this sort of thing! I will keep you updated! I have practiced my manicure techniques and reading up on all my information. And I'm getting better at application already! Talk to you guys soon! Thank you so much for reading.
