Favourite Characters In TV Programmes

Hey guys, I have been binge watching TV Programmes recently, and I always find myself getting attached to at least one of the characters in each programme. So I thought I would share some of my most loved characters with you. Just letting you know this will be a long post, as there are so many characters I love and also this post will have spoilers, you have been warned! Comment below on your favourite characters in TV programmes, I would love to know.

I'm going to start with Pretty Little Liars, which is one of my favourite TV programmes on the planet. I have two favourite characters, the first one I'm going to start with is Spencer Hastings. First of, look at how beautiful she is, she is the perfect embodiment of brains and beauty. She always finds out the links between the clues, and figures all the hard questions that A asks of them. She also is a very loving friend who has been through some serious shit. She has had some issues with drugs, which ends up getting her in pretty big trouble, and some times she can be too blunt for her own good. But I really found a connection to her. Troian Bellisario did a really good job of fleshing out this character and making her really relatable.
And now for the eye candy part of Pretty Little Liars. Caleb Rivers. I was hooked on him since his first episode. I love the way he's so mysterious, at the beginning you don't really know what to make of him. But you find out he's just a young man who has had a lot of issues in his life. He is defiantly one of the most loving in protecting characters. Not only does he protect his girlfriend Hannah, but also her friends. Showing that he really does love and care for her. Also he is one of the most gorgeous men I have ever seen in my life. Tyler Blackburn, Good job darling. You made an awesome character, flaws and all!

Now on to another one of my favourite programmes. Once Upon A Time. I have always loved fairy tales for as long as I can remember, so this programme really resonates with me. I have a couple of favourite characters, my first is Regina Mills/ The Evil Queen. She's such an awesome character, and I love the way her character arch changes during the course of the programme. The way her love for Henry really changes her life. I love the way she used fear as a weapon in the beginning, but falling in love really changes her, makes her want to be a better women, which I think she has done. I love the way all the characters have a back story, but hers is sad because she never wanted to be queen or evil. The only reason she did it was for revenge.
And my other favourite character is Mr. Gold/ Rumpelstiltskin. I love the difference in his two characters. When he's in Storybrooke, he is a ordinary man, full of greed and lust for power. Where as in the Enchanted Forest, as Rumpelstiltskin he is a completely different person, looks and personality. he has glittery, almost scale like skin, and he talks in a much higher pitch voice and acts a lot more eccentric. I always knew Robert Carlyle was a good actor, but it wasn't until I saw him in this, that I realised just how good he was. He's the main reason I watch this show, and I hope he never leaves it!

Next programme is Vampire Diaries. I only finished watching this a couple of months ago, but I really enjoyed it. One of the main reasons I enjoyed it was Damon Salavtore. The older of the Salvatore brothers. Not only is he so handsome, but I love the character's wit and charm. At first he seems pretty nasty, he's rude and obnoxious and a ruthless vampire, but over time, and falling in love with Elena, he changes so much, and becomes a lot more caring and helpful to others. He also has to go through the loss of his best friend, but luckily he comes back to life, and helps him put the pieces back together. I've seen Ian Somerhalder in Lost before, but his character in this defiantly surpasses his other characters.
Next is Caroline Forbes, at first the popular girl in school who takes care of all the events in the school. But when she is killed with vampire blood in his system, she becomes a vampire. Having the Salvatore brothers teach her how to function properly she ends up being one of the main characters. She falls in love with a werewolf and also is lusted after by one of the Original vampires. I really like Caroline because she is such a perky and happy character (most of the time) and she makes me happy when I watch TVD. She is a very fleshed out and relatable character also.

I have been watching Supernatural on and off for around 7 years. So I was bound to get attached to a couple of characters. First is Bobby Singer. Who is a veteran Supernatural hunter and Proxy father to the Winchester brothers. I think Bobby was the first character in a TV programme that I really connected to. I just loved how caring he was to the Winchesters. He really was more of a father to them than their own father. He also helped them alot with their hunts with his extensive knowledge of supernatural beings. He has been through a lot of shit. Having to kill his wife because she was possesed by a daemon, loosing one of his best friends, having to deal with the problems with the Winchester brothers, and finally loosing his life by one of the beings he hunts. His death was the first time I really cried at the death of a character, and I have found that Supernatural has never been the same since. Bobby was such a caring man, but also a badass when duty called.
And I know I have to pick one of the Winchester Brothers, and without a doubt my favourite is Dean. First of all, just look at him! He's so beautiful, and I swear he doesn't look any different from the first season. He's another character that has been through a lot of crap, and has had to make many sacrifices for his family. He's a protective big brother who will fight to the death for Sam. But I think the thing I like most about him is his wit and charm. He's a ladies man, and a natural flirt. But he will always find a way to make me laugh in most episodes. Jensen Ackles really made this character real and will always be known for playing Dean Winchester.

Another recent programme I finished watching was Hemlock Grove. A Supernatural based programme which grabbed me from episode one! My favourite character is Peter Rumancek. Being from Romany Gypsy decent, I know most of the superstitions related to gypsy life, so I think that was what first drew me to this character. Later on you find out he is a werewolf and his best friend Roman is a Vampire. This strange pairing have to deal with a lot of bad things that happen in Hemlock Grove. He has to deal with the loss of his girlfriend, but in time, and with the help of his best friend, they work together to pick up the pieces. There is a lot of turmoil between him and Roman, but they always find ways to work things out. He's just so relatable, with all his flaws and personality traits.
Shelly is another one of my favourite characters in Hemlock Grove. For the majority of the show she doesn't talk, but she shows her emotions very well in her body language. She always feels unloved, by everyone except from her brother Roman. Through all the rubbish she has been through she is always searching for something more. Which in a way reminds me of me. I always looked for something better during the bad times in my life. Shelly is the character I always look for in every episode. she finds good friends and even a little love during the run of the show, that's something that makes me very happy.

I am a horror movie lover. As some of you may know, So I jumped to watch the adaptation of Psycho, Bates Motel. It's a prequel to Psycho, which explains why Norman is the way he is. The character of Norman Bates is amazing and Freddie Highmore did an amazing job of portraying this strange character. The reason I like him is  his actions keeps me on the edge of my seat, You never know what he will do next, and you never know what he is thinking. Even just the way he looks at the other cast members or the camera creeps me out, which shows how much of a good actor he is. Thank you Freddie Highmore for doing justice to such a classic character.

My husband and I loved to watch prison break after he'd finished work. I didn't think I would like it, but I was hooked. My favourite character is T-Bag. Like Norman Bates, T-Bag really creeps me out, just the way he acts in normal situations gives me chills, which shows he's an awesome actor as I'm guessing he's nothing like that in real life. I am so glad he was a primary character, and was in most episodes, as he bring humour and the creepiness factor to every episode he's in. He's defiantly a character you love to hate.

It's hard to pick a favourite character in American Horror Story, because every season is a different storyline and has different characters. But I think my favourite was Tate Langdon, from the first season of AHS. I have no idea what drew me to him, he was creepy but at the same time he was a hopeless romantic who fell in love with a beautiful young woman. You always know there is something weird about the character, but you are never sure of what it is. Later on you find out that he's actually a ghost and he turned psycho, burnt his stepfather alive, gunned down a school, and raped a member of the main family. Bad thing is you find this all out at the end, but you are already hooked on the character. Evan Peters is such a good actor and every character he plays in AHS is amazing, and in all honesty he is the reason I watch AHS, That and I'm a massive horror fan.

And now on to Sons Of Anarchy. I have just finished watching this programme so I am still on a high from it. I have a quite a few favourite characters, so this may drag this post on a while. Here we go!
Opie is obviously my favourite character, as seen in my 'Crying at a TV Programme' post. I love how he looks like a badass on the outside with his long hair, beard and tattoos. But on the inside he's like a teddy bear with a soft heart who loves his partners, club and friends, and that I love in a character. Also I think he is beautiful, and I've never like bearded men. I won't talk any more about him but read my post mentioned above for more information.
I love Tig, but his is for a different reason. He is a psycho! I swear he is mental in the head, when you get him angry, there is no stopping him! I love his funny one liners, he makes me laugh so much, just with the way he acts in every episode. He has never fully felt love and only has one night stands. That is until he meets Venus, a transexual woman, who he falls in love with, and at that point we see a whole other side to him, which is lovely. You get to see there is a heart inside of Tig. Kim Coats is an amazing actor and I take my hat off to him... well, if i was wearing one.
And finaly we have Gemma Morrow. I have loved Katy Sagel since I watched 8 Simple Rules, so knowing she was in Sons Of Anarchy made this even better for me. I love her character, she is a absolute badass. But she loves her son and grandson more than anything and will protect them no matter what. During season two she was raped by a horrible gang, and that's when you see there is a real vunrable person inside that badass shell. Also she really fleshed out the character, and made her relateable. I know I would protect my family no matter what. Luckily I don't live with a Biker Club, so I don't have to deal with everything she does. She does do some bad things, but she always thinks she has a reason, and most of the time I agree with her ideals.

So that is my favourite characters, as I have been reading this I have realised that most of my favourite characters have been through a lot of shit, and I really enjoy watching vunrable characters because I find it shows how good an actor is. I'm sorry this was such a long post. I tend to waffle when I talk about things that I love.
