At Home Spa Day

The colder days are setting in and every now and again I like to pamper myself. To be honest going to the Spa to have a few treatments can be very exspensive, so I like to give myself at home Spa days. So I thought I would share a few things I like to do and some products that I think would make a great at home Spa day.
I think that The Body Shop is my favourite shop to buy things for a Spa day, but first I'm going to start with candles. I think candles really set a relaxing tone, and the scents can really bring the mood. I found a brand call Village Candles, and I must say they are amazing. They are the same size as the large Yankee candles, the smells are strong and they are a lot cheaper. The biggest size of candle is only £12.50! Here is a list of some scents that I think would be perfect for a Spa day.
  • Egyptian Sandlewood
  • Juciy Melon
  • Maple Butter
  • Frozen Margarita
  • Coffee Bean
  • Balsm Fir

If you want to take a look at these awesome candles. Check out their website: www.villagecandle.com

Next On to the spa day itself. The first thing I like to do is run a bath. Ever since I became ill, baths have been the best thing to relax my muscles. I love bath bombs, they give a beautiful scent and a slight foam to your bath. The best place to buy bath bombs is Lush. All of thier products are made with natural ingredients, and I am such an avid fan of their products. I will give you a list of some of their amazing bath bombs that I reccomend for a spa day.
  • Blackberry Bath Bomb - Said to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, Blackberry, Bergamont and Frankencence
  • Twilight - Great if you need to relax, Lavender, Benzoin and Tonka
  • Yogabomb - Great for calming your mind, Sandlewood, Howood and Olibanum

Then I like to use a body scrub to get rid of all the dead skin and to make my skin as smooth as possible, I like to do this before I shave my legs. I love using the Body Shop body scrubs, they are amazing, they aren't too abrasive and smell beautiful. They retail for around £13 Here are some scents that I would reccomend:
  • Virgin Mojito
  • Coconut
  • Cocoa Butter
  • Pink Grapefruit

Next you want to use a shower gel to make sure you are all squeaky clean, Lush have some amazing scents, and like I said before, all the products they sell are made with natural ingredents. Here are some of the scents I would reccomend:
  • The Comforter - Beautiful Berry Scent, Cassis Absolute, Bergamont and Cypress oils
  • Needles and Pines - Pine needles, Bergamont and Pine Nut Oil
  • 93000 Miles Shower Jelly - Cinnamon and Peppermint

After your bath you want to moisturise your body, I find that The Body Shop's Body Butters are the best thing for making your body silky smooth, they are so thick and lushious, a big tub costs £13 and will last you months. Here are some scents I reccomend:
  • Shea Butter
  • Moringa
  • White Musk
  • Strawberry
  • Aloe Vera
  • Fuji Green Tea

The next thing I would want to do is put on a face mask. I find that these really make me feel like im in an actual spa. Lush do the best ones. Most of their face masks are fresh, so you have to use them within a week or so. Here are some of the ones that I would suggest:
  • Cup O' Coffee - Smells just like fresh brewed coffee, Vetivert, Corriander and Roasted Cocoa
  • Mask Of Magnaminity - Peppermint, Marigold Oil and Chlorophyllin Oil. Aduki beads to help exfoliate as you take the mask off.
  •  Oatifix - Great to moisturise dry skin, Bananas, Oats, Ground Almonds and Illipe Butter.
  • Cupcake - Deep Cleansing mask, Rhassoul Mud, Mint, Linseed and Cocoa Butter
While the mask is working, I like to pamper my feet. First of all I like to cut my tonails, then i like to use a Foot File to get off any dead skin, and to make sure my feet are as smooth as possible. Then I like to use the Body Shop's 'Peppermint Soothing Pumice Foot Scrub' and then after I have rinsed that off then I will use the Body Shop's 'Cooling Foot Lotion' to make sure they are as soft as possible.

Lastly I would make myself a nice cup of Redbush Tea or Hot Chocolate to get myself ready for bed. And then I will paint my toenails and my fingernails. My favourite brand of nail varnish is the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. This nail polish is amazing. It has a base coat, colour, top coat and strengthener all in one bottle. Here is some of the colours that I am loving at the moment:
  • Wine Not
  • Kook A Mango
  • Mermaid's Tale
  • Hidden Treasure
  • All Fired Up

And then what I like to do before I go to bed is put some Olbas Oil on my pillow, get nice and comfy in bed and read a book for a little while. When I feel like I am going to fall asleep I like to put an audiobook on and settle down for the night.

Thanks for reading, I hope you have a good pamper evening and I will talk to you soon!
