Christmas Tag

Okay seeing as it is almost Christmas so I thought I would do the Christmas Tag to get in the festive spirit. So let's get this show on the road!

1. What is your favourite Christmas Film?
It's a three way tie, between Elf, The Grinch and Miracle on 34th Street. I love to watch these when I wrap presents. It makes me feel so festive and I usually end up getting emotional and crying at these films.

2. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
If I remember rightly, I had one white Christmas when I was seven. This was the only one where it snowed of Christmas Day, But I have had a few years where it snowed after Christmas. I love snow, but only if I am warm and cosy inside. I'm not the best in cold weather.

3.Where do you usually spend Christmas?
I have always spent Christmas at my grandparents house. We go there around 7am in our PJ's and spend the whole day together opening presents, eating more than I probably should and having a few drinks. For the rest of the festive season we go to other family members houses and chill out with family. Christmas is all about family for me!

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
There are so many Christmas songs that put me in the festive spirit. But my favourites are 'Fairytale of New York', 'Driving Home for Christmas', 'It's Beginning To Look a lot like Christmas' and 'Shake It Up Christmas Time-Train' I usually start listening to Christmas music at the beginning of December.

5. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve?
No, we never had that tradition, as much as i begged as a child, my family never let me open any presents, But traditions are important for our family at Christmas time!

6. Can you name all of Santa's Reindeer?
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Commit, Blizten, Rudolph.... No not all of them.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
So on Christmas Eve, we go to the pub for a few hours with my immediate family, and then we go back to my nana's house and have dinner. Then we go back to my mum's and then we stay the night there and then in the morning we go to my nana's and we sit in a circle and open presents one at a time and then in the afternoon we have Christmas dinner, which we all help to make, and then we drink (quite a bit) and then we play cards and board games until the early morning. Its such a good two days. But I love from Christmas Eve until New Years Day.

8. Is your Christmas Tree Real or Fake?
Fake, we didn't want to keep buying a new tree every year. And obviously when the needles fall on the ground, I wouldn't want Leia to eat them and get ill. A good quality fake tree can look really realistic. Also you can buy decorations which smell like pine, to make it seem more real.

9. What is your all time favourite Christmas Food/Sweet?
My favourite savoury food is defiantly Pigs in Blankets, it's the first thing I think about when I think about Christmas Dinner. And my favourite sweet treat is anything with Chocolate in or shortbread.

10. Be honest: Do you like giving or receiving gifts more?
In all honesty I like them both the same. I love seeing the looks on peoples faces when they open their gifts, but you have to be a little selfish, and enjoy opening presents. So I wouldn't be able to tell you which one I prefer.

11. What is the best Christmas Present you ever received?
My favourite gift was my Tiffany necklace that my mum got me. My mum and I have matching Tiffany rings and for Christmas she got me a matching necklace, its so meaningful and I have never taken it off! But I think my favourite Christmas present ever was I bought my Grandad tickets to see Jersey Boys in London. And we spend the whole day together in London. Which was amazing, and when I have more money I will defiantly do it again!

12. Where would be your dream place to visit at the holiday season?
New York! I would love to go there for Christmas, and especially for New Year, to see the big concert at Times Square, and also see the ball drop. Another place I would like to go to is Iceland. I don't know why but recently I have really wanted to go there! So does my husband, which is great!

13. Are you a pro present wrapper or a failure?
Because I have worked in retail for a few years, I have got better at wrapping presents, and to be honest I actually enjoy it. But I'm only good with normal looking presents, trying to wrap awkward shaped presents is too hard.

14. Most memorable holiday moment?
I don't think I could pick any moments. Every Christmas has some amazing memories and I really don't think I could pick any! Just being with my family is amazing!

15. When did you realise the truth about Santa?
I was given so much proof that Santa existed, that when I was 11, just before I went to secondary school, my mum had to tell me he wasn't real. I was so upset and the first thing I ever said was "Does Grandad Know?" because he always gave me so much proof.

16. Do you make New Years Resolution? Do you stick to them?
I used to make resolutions, but I have never stuck to them. So now I don't make any.

17. What makes the holidays special to you?
Just being with my family, I am very close to my family and being with them for a week or two makes me so happy. And also Christmas food is amazing. All the chocolates and sweets are amazing, and yummy dinners and buffets are awesome. and I defiantly eat more than I should!

So that's the Christmas Tag and I really hope you enjoy it, I'm probably going to do some more tags as I really enjoy doing them.
