My Favourite Musicals

As long as I can remember I have loved musical theatre, my family took me to see my first musical when I was 7 and I was hooked from then on. So I thought I would share some of my favourite musicals with you. So I hope you enjoy and here we go!
The first one I want to talk about is Mamma Mia, it's such a feel good musical with amazing music from the iconic band Abba! It makes you want to get up and dance and makes you cry with laughter. I love both the stage musical and the movie. It's a very iconic musical and a staple for anyone who loves musicals!
The Lion King was the first musical I ever saw and I have to say it was unforgettable. Again the songs are so well known and so is the story line and it's so well executed on stage. I love the set designs and the way they presented the animals. The colours and the overall feeling is incredible, if you have children and want them to see their first musical. I would defiantly suggest this!
I went to see this musical with my mother in New York and it was defiantly an awesome production. Made by Dolly Parton, and also uses music by her. This is an amazing, female empowering musical. The actresses were fabulous and I had the songs stuck in my head for weeks to come. It made me cry with so many different emotions. It's such a fabulous musical! Well done Dolly!
I took my grandfather to see this as a Christmas present and it was such an unforgettable night. We both love the music of the Four Seasons, and watching this semi autobiographical musical was amazing as you learnt more about the men in the bad. It even had my Pa singing out loud. Again it's a very iconic musical and I highly recommend it!
I have seen the 'Remixed' version of this on stage and I have to say it wasn't as good as the film version, but the film version blew me away! It's more serious than some of the other musicals on this list. It has themes including homosexuals, homelessness, AIDS and love. And it always brings me to tears. The songs are amazing and always sticks in my head. It's a 'rock musical' and I love how different it is from the others!
This is the most recent musical I have seen, my mother and I went to see this not really knowing much about it, but we knew it had Beverley Knight and Matt Cardle In, so we knew the singing would be on point! And it didn't disappoint. It has some amazing soulful music and some very moving moments. It had some funny moments and moments that had me in tears! I love listening to the music in my car! It always makes me happy!
Wicked is such an amazing musical I have seen it three times and it gets better every time. It takes a spin on a very well know story line, and it has so many different moods, I laugh and cry and get goosebumps I think this is one of my favourite musicals and i recommend this musical to anyone!
And last onto my favourite musical of all time. This is the most serious of all the musicals, but I have seen this around 8 times and I will never get tired of it. I love the songs and the story line about twins seperated at birth. Two different lives but they find themselves together forever. I always find myself in floods of tears by the end of this. I would love to be in this musical, some people may find this a simple musical but I think it doesn't need all the glitz and glamour because that isn't the storyline. Please, if you ever get the chance to see this. Do it!

So that's my favourite musicals, there is so many more amazing musicals out there but these are the the best of the best to me. But everyone has their own opinions, if you have a favourite musical please comment and let me know! Thanks so much and I will talk to you soon!
